This sentence seems odd to me: "Sam's affection for Rosie is purely an addition by the filmmakers." I know that nothing about Sam's relationship with Rosie is specifically recorded before the return to the Shire in ROTK, but Sam says, at that time, "I didn't speak, because I had a job to do first." I'd say that makes Sam's affection for Rosie a reasonable inference, rather than a pure invention. --Pachyderminator 23:27, 25 April 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
