Infobox image change?

Does anyone else think the infobox image should be changed (possibly Anna Kulisz’s illustration?)I like the current image, but I feel like it doesn’t draw sufficient attention to the subject of the article. —Holdwine Meriadoc (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 21:53, 9 February 2019 (UTC)

I think that's probably the reason for this image: you take out line-art and adaptations and there is no image of this character as the main feature. The closest is this. --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 18:11, 19 February 2019 (UTC)

Would it be appropriate to upload a cropped version of this image? That would be a nice portrait of Merry. This one is also nice, though it kind of makes him look like a giant. --Pachyderminator 18:19, 23 April 2022 (UTC)

If we had to choose, I'd agree with Holdwine's. But the current one is beautiful and the character is easily recognized at first sight, even for non-readers. So I disagree with changing it or making a cropped version. --LorenzoCB 19:11, 24 April 2022 (UTC)
