::Sindarin elves are descent from Teleri who are known to show blonde hair without any Vanyarin relation, although not every elvish clan are clearly described in full detail so it's hard to say anything about that matter. That will always be open for debate I guess. Some interpretions can be made when reading the descriptions of Amroth, Haldir and Nimrodel who are potential blonde elves. Silvan elves are mostly Nandor, believed to be generally dark haired. They were mingled with the Sindar and Noldor later. It would be possible for them to show variety of hair colors that each of these clans possessed. --[[User:Amaranth|Amaranth]] 13:41, 18 December 2012 (UTC)

== Pronunciation/stressing template ==
In the infobox, the "Pronunciation" field makes use of the "respell" template, which I looked and make no sense of it. Whatever happens with it, it provides a wrong stressing. The stressing is TEL-air-ee and not tel-AIR-ee. I looked the template's code but I can't make heads or tails how its algorithm determines the stress. [[User:Sage|Sage]] 10:47, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

Do all Teleri have silver hair like Celeborn (or Teleporno in Telerin) and Olwë? Did Tolkien say? --Narfil Palùrfalas 12:32, 29 June 2006 (EDT)

I don't think so. The Teleri are by far the largest and most diverse kindred, and their descendants the Silvan Elves had blonde hair. --Ebakunin 13:16, 29 June 2006 (EDT)
And it's also true that the Sindar were relatives of the Teleri. Hmm. But did the Silvan elves really have blond hair? Thranduil was Sindarin. --Narfil Palùrfalas 18:00, 29 June 2006 (EDT)

Pronunciation/stressing template[edit source]

In the infobox, the "Pronunciation" field makes use of the "respell" template, which I looked and make no sense of it. Whatever happens with it, it provides a wrong stressing. The stressing is TEL-air-ee and not tel-AIR-ee. I looked the template's code but I can't make heads or tails how its algorithm determines the stress. Sage 10:47, 2 January 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
