Deletion?

If this individual had no relationship with Tolkien, perhaps we don't need this article. The fact that he was the immediate predecessor doesn't create a notable connection to Tolkien. Sage (talk) 03:19, 29 August 2023 (UTC)

According to his Wikipedia page he also tutored Tolkien, which to me would make him worthy of inclusion on TG.
