Template talk:Noncanon
Hyarion, is there a way you could create another noncanon template saying something like "at least part of this article is contradicted by later works" or something like that? Or a "noncanon warning: the following is contradicted by later works". My purpose is for articles such as the Fall of Gondolin. It has, for example, High King Turgon making Tuor's swan-wing armor. Later works claim the armor was found by Tuor, and thus used to identify him as a messenger of Ulmo. However, the article itself on a whole has much not contradicted by later works. I hope I'm clear enough. --Narfil Palùrfalas 10:00, 1 July 2006 (EDT)
New Design
I have to confess, I'm really not keen on the new designs: the left-hand border is Aule/Wikipedia's style (which I never liked) whilst having this on the right-hand side I find more intrusive than above the text. Can't we have something a little more subtle? --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 18:29, 13 July 2011 (UTC)
- My aim was to clearly differentiate these templates from the maintenance templates; feel free to redesign the [:Category:Canon scale templates], but please keep this aim in mind.-- KingAragorn talk contribs edits email 16:58, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
Automatic stuff
Is it really necessary that this template creates an automatic placement in the Category:Noncanon? Right now we have an unnecessary double categorization of the noncanon characters, as they appear in both Category:Noncanon characters and Category:Noncanon.--Morgan 18:58, 18 November 2011 (UTC)
