The Stone-eaters was a book written by Michael George Ramer of the Notion Club[1]

History

At some point in time many years prior to 1987, Ramer wrote an opening scene to the book that he would later name The Stone-eaters. The scene was about "a great morain high up in the barren mountains" that was somehow connected to a Glacier-foot.[1]
