Third Age 2758 (abbreviated to T.A. 2758) is the 2758th year of the Sun of the Third Age of Middle-earth. Third Age 2758 was also known as S.R. 1158 in Shire-reckoning.
Notable events in this year include:
- Wulf's Rebellion: Rohan attacked from west and east and overrun.[1]
- Corsair Wars: Gondor attacked by fleets of the Corsairs.[1]
- King Helm of Rohan takes refuge in Helm's Deep.[1]
- Wulf, son of Freca,[2] seizes Edoras.[1]
Winter of 2758-2759[edit]
- The Long Winter follows, starting in November. Great suffering and loss of life in Eriador and Rohan.[1]
- Gandalf comes to the aid of the Shire-folk.[1]
