Third Age 2989 (abbreviated to T.A. 2989) is the 2989th year of the Sun of the Third Age of Middle-earth. Third Age 2989 was also known as S.R. 1389 in Shire-reckoning.
Notable events in this year include:
- Balin leaves Erebor, enters Moria, and founds a colony.[1]
- Éomund weds Théodwyn.[2]
- Birth of Doderic Brandybuck, first child and son of Seredic Brandybuck and Hilda Bracegirdle.[3]
