Who am I? I am a fan and admirer of J.R.R. Tolkien's works. I have been using Tolkien Gateway for about a year and became a member on 5 April , 2021. I have a special interest in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit books. I was introduced to Tolkien's Legendarium when I was about nine or ten years old and like many others it was through Peter Jackson's LOTR trilogy but it was not until 2018 when I started gaining information about it. I was intruigued by the genealogies given in the Lord of the Rings book. After that I sort of memorised the whole family tree of Elros (because I find the Númenóreans very relatable). It was just the beginning, I ended up studying House of Hurin, House of Durin and many more. I will feel obliged if anyone can suggest or help me on these things.

My views on few things Enter my mind •I find it very interesting that if we see Eldarion's bloodline, he is destined to be king of Middle-Earth (apart from Dwarven realms) - **He inherits Mannish lands from his father-Aragorn. **And Elvish lands from his mother-Arwen. •I think Faramir was the strongest man (apart from Aragorn) of his time as not everyone can resist The One Ring. •How great The Great Armament would have been that even the Valar didn't choose to fight rather they called upon Eru. •I think at the end of Third Age, the lifespan of the Dunedain was somewhat increased. The only examples we have are of Aragorn and Faramir. **Faramir lived upto the age of 120 which is longer than his ancestors (upto five generations). His last ancestor to pass hundred years was Belecthor II who was born about 231 years before the birth of Faramir. **Now, Aragorn lived for 210 years. This was longer than many of his ancestors. His last ancestor to live longer than him was Celepharn who was born 1952 years before him. Also the last of his line before him to pass 200 years was Malvegil, Celepharn's grandson. There are 26 generations between Celepharn and Aragorn - 11 Kings of Arthedain and 15 Chieftains of Dunedain. **But there are some contradicting ones too like the Princes of Dol Amroth. When Aragorn was born in TA 2931 Adrahil II was the Prince who was born in TA 2917, just 14 years before Aragorn. During Aragorn's life atleast five Princes lived and died which tells a lot. •At the time of Downfall of Numenor, Elendil had a better claim to kingship than Ar-Pharazon as there have been atleast two changes in the line of Kings of Numenor whereas in Elendil's family, the lordship passed from father to son in direct line. •I find it very suspicious that after Pelendur chose Earnil II as King of Gondor, the position of Steward of Gondor became heriditary.
