Sources

Hello Shadrak: many thanks for your contributions to various articles! Please try to remember to provide sources, though, for information you add; otherwise your additions might sometimes need to be removed/reverted. If you're unsure about how to use the code for adding sources, just let me know.--Morgan 19:11, 20 September 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hi Morgan! I am currently adding content from Unfinished Tales. I just yesterday figured out how to include a reference. I did so in my last edits, or at least so I believe. Please let me know if any of my edits were not accompanied by a reference.

Although I mostly add content objectively derived from the book, I have sometimes edited grammar mistakes and removed a few statements that seemed subjective and had no source. Most of them seemed to be pure speculations on the author's part, or something derived from video games that had not been posted in the "Portrayal in Adaptations" section. I hope that's ok. --Shadrak 19:39, 20 September 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I'm glad to hear that! :-) Yes, the best way to add a reference to Unfinished Tales is to use the Template:UT. So, where appropriate, just add <ref>{{UT|X}}</ref> ("X" referring to a key found in the template page, corresponding to a chapter or section in Unifnished Tales). And finally, to make sure that the codeline {{reference}} is added to the end of the article you've edited, otherwise the reference will not show up. Hope it doesn't sound too complicated! --Morgan 19:50, 20 September 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
