Year of the Trees 1

Year of the Trees 1 (abbreviated to Y.T. 1) is the 1st year of the Trees of Arda. Year of the Trees 1 was also V.Y. 3501 in Valian Years.
Notable events in this year include:
- Yavanna creates the Two Trees through her song amidst the hill of Ezellohar in Valinor to give a new light to the world.[1][2]
- The beginning of the Count of Time starts at the Opening Hour, when Telperion first started to bloom alone; on the second hour, the First Day began.[1][3]
- For one thousand Years of the Trees the Valar dwell in bliss in Valinor beyond the Mountains of Aman, while all Middle-earth lay in a twilight under the Stars.[1][3]
- Over the next many centuries Melkor sleeps in Utumno, and Oromë hunts the Enemy's beasts throughout all Middle-earth. Melkor raises the Hithaeglir in an attempt to hinder his efforts.[1][3]
