Michael Grealish (born in Gisborne, New Zealand) is a Kiwi film technician who worked at Wētā Workshop from 1998 to 2008.[1] He served as miniature technician for Isengard for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and as leather craftsman for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
While senior leather technician, when Decipher, with Wētā Workshop, began producing The Lord of the Rings Trading Card Game cards depicting aspects omitted from The Lord of the Rings film series as part of the "Book Cards" label, he portrayed Erkenbrand[2] in three cards.[3][4][5] He wore the costume of Théodred, as Weta reasoned so little of the armour was seen in the film it would be hard to notice.[2]
