This article is about mortal races. For the mortality of Men, see Gift of Men.

Mortals (Q. Fírimar by the Elves^[1]^[2]) were any of the races of Arda who were subject to old age and death (as for example Hobbits and Dwarves), but applied especially to the race of Men.
