Stock was a small town or village in the north of the Marish, lying on the Stockbrook stream near to the banks of the River Brandywine, in the Eastfarthing of the Shire. In The Lord of the Rings, Pippin mentions that The Golden Perch in Stock has the finest beer in the Eastfarthing.
