In the Tale, Morgoth captured Húrin in the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, and set a curse on him, his wife, and their children. Thereafter, the story follows the course of Húrin's son Túrin as he travels through Beleriand, followed by disaster and sorrow wherever he goes, until his life, and that of his sister Nienor, reach their inevitable and tragic ends.
