History
Ponto was the eldest son of Posco Baggins and Gilly Brownlock and was named after his great-grandfather, Ponto. He was the father of Angelica and they attended the Birthday Party together.[2]
After Frodo Baggins left the Shire in S.R. 1422, Ponto "presumably" became the head of the Baggins Family, though in title only, as Bag End had passed to Samwise Gamgee.[1]
Portrayal in adaptations
2002: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (video game):
- Ponto Baggins lives on Number 2, Bywater Road, the first house in Bywater.
