Talk:Field (heraldry)

Is this article really necessary? IMO it's too Wikipedian: too much a general encyclopedia article; not really Tolkien related --Earendilyon 15:52, 5 April 2006 (EDT)

Hm, agree with you I will. Two options we have, Uncommon words it be placed, or Wikipedia it be linked. (I just saw Star Wars) (My vote is for it to be added to Uncommon words. --Hyarion 15:55, 5 April 2006 (EDT)
Disagree with you I do: searching for unknown words in Wikipedia people should. My humble opinion this is. --Earendilyon 16:02, 5 April 2006 (EDT)
Do I agree or dis-, I do knot now, but one humble opinion have I too: this article is not good enough to exist here, for even Tolkien himself does not use the term, says only (now i quote): "and displaying his standard, black serpent upon scarlet". In this encyclopaedia is this article superfluous matter, if you excuse me, dear Company. Or should we add all other remaining vocabulary of this art which was so dear to the "childless lords" of Gondor, "who sat in aged halls musing on heraldry." --Tik 12:07, 16 February 2008 (EST)
