Rowan was the oldest child of Holman the greenhanded.
History
Rowan married Hob Gammidge, a roper from Tighfield. They had one son, Hobson, who became a roper like his father.[1]
Etymology
A Rowan is a type of tree, the European mountain ash. The name is of Scandinavian origin akin to Norse rauð ("red"), because of its red berries.[2]
