I have added some more data to the description and history of Amon Anwar. At the top of this page is the request for an expansion of the page. Being new to the Tolkien Gateway I do not know the procedure for alerting the Powers That Be that an expansion has been attempted. Is there a standard way to request a review to determine if an expansion has been successful, which warrants removal of the expansion flag?

- Yes. I changed it to a cleanup tag, because the proseline needs to be cleaned up. -- Ederchil (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 07:32, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- The various tags are a matter of judgement, really (although I've never actually seen people disagree over them). By the way, Gamling, if you type "~~~~" the wiki will automatically enter the date and a link to your user page; the signature button above the edit box (10th button in) will do "--~~~~" for you. --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 09:49, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
Move the Amon Anwar page to the Halifirien page
I propose to move the Amon Anwar page to the Halifirien page with the move function, which ensures that the editing history of the Amon Anwar page is retained.
The name Halifirien for the page meets the criteria for naming a page of the Tolkien Gateway naming policy best. It is more easily recognisable by the name Halifirien than by the name Amon Anwar, because only the name Halifirien appears in The Lord of the Rings and in the Peter Jackson filsm of The Lord of the Rings. The Lord of the Rings is more widely known than Unfinished Tales of Númenor and Middle-earth or The Rivers and Beacon-hills of Gondor in VT or in The Nature of Middle-earth where the other names Amon Anwar and Eilenaer appear. It also meets the conciseness, naturalness, precision, consistency and canonicity criteria of the Tolkien Gateway naming policy.
I also propose to delete the content on the Eilenach page and to insert a redirect to the Halifirien page on the Eilenach page (i.e. to turn the Eilenach page into a redirect page).
I will continue to edit the page and work on the creation of the tomb of Elendil and the removal of the casket to the Hallows of Minas Tirith part of the history. --Akhôrahil (talk) 15:54, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
