Timothy R. O'Neill (1943-2023) was a retired US Army lieutenant-colonel and former professor of Engineering Psychology at West Point. He was credited with groundbreaking research in digital camouflage known as DualTex.[1] He wrote two books in his life, one fictional set in West Point, titled Shades of Grey, and one on Jungian elements in J.R.R. Tolkien's work. O'Neill passed away in November 2023 at the age of 80.[2]
