Vinge is a noun meaning "foam" or "spray" in Quenya, derived from Primitive Elvish wingē[1]. Tolkien vacillated greatly on the form of this word, and so it is also found as winga, vinga, and winge, and with stem form vingi-.[1] It is cognates with gwing in Sindarin.[1]
