telepi,[1] telpe[2] (or telpë[3]), and telep-,[2] are Telerin words for "silver".
Etymology
In a letter, Tolkien stated that the form telepi derives from Primitive Elvish kyelepē.[1]
Christopher Tolkien has noted that telpe, telep- derive from root KYELEP.[2]
