Elulindo was the son of Elwë, Lord of the Teleri, according to the early version of the legendarium from a genealogical table created by Tolkien in the early 1930s.

The table has not been published but Christopher Tolkien mentioned the name in his comments on the genealogies of the Quenta Noldorinwa period in the Appendix to The Lost Road and Other Writings.[1]

In the later versions of The Silmarillion the name of the father of Elulindo was changed from Elwë to Olwë. Olwë is said to have had many sons, but none of them are known by name, nor have their deeds been recorded.[2]

Etymology

Elulindo was probably conceived as a Telerin name at the time, comprised of the elements Elu (his father's Telerin name) + lindo ("singer, singing bird").[3][4]
