Ken Kamins is a Hollywood agent and executive producer with a pivotal role in the film industry. As Peter Jackson’s longtime agent and manager Kamins played an important role in securing the production of The Lord of the Rings (film series) and The Hobbit (film series). Initially representing Jackson in Hollywood, Kamins negotiated with Miramax but transitioned the project to New Line Cinema because Miramax wanted only two movies while New Line Cinema proposed three (so they could follow the books.) [1] After receiving a ‘special thanks’ for his involvement with The Lord of the Rings (film series), he later rejoined Jackson to become an executive producer for The Hobbit (film series).
Ken Kamins is CEO of Key Creatives Inc., a management-production company based in Los Angeles, California. Kamins has also collaborated with Jackson in The Lovely Bones(film) [2].
