Mugwort Family

Mugwort was a common family name among the Bree-hobbits.^[1]

Etymology

Mugwort is the name of the plant Artemisia akin to Wormwood. Tolkien mentioned that there is no special reason for the choice of Mugwort, except its hobbit-like sound.^[2]
