Ozmoot 2026 is the fourth annual conference in Australia for fans of the works of J.R.R. Tolkien and everything Middle-earth. This is a hybrid event with both in-person and online participation. The Australian Tolkien Fellowship Hern Ennorath is a smial of the Tolkien Society. This not-for-profit event is supported by Signum University and the Tolkien Professor Corey Olsen will attend in-person.
Theme
The theme for 2026 is "Celebration, Ceremony, and Courtship" in the works of J.R.R. Tolkien and the medieval worlds that inspired him.
Programme
The three day conference is a partnership between Signum University, and Hern Ennorath, the Australian smial of the Tolkien Society.
We have a full program of talks and musical presentations.
This will be a party of special magnificence with lots of fellowship, including our Tolkien Professor of Special Magnificence - Corey Olsen!
There will also be a trivia quiz, a Middle Earth Medieval Banquet, a costume parade, a performance of Middle-earth inspired music by a 22 person choir, Morris Dancing, a cruise on our own Lake Evendim (Lake Burley Griffin) followed by a picnic at the castle, a market place including a book sale, collectible displays, demonstration tabletop and online games, and Medieval keep mugs.
