Unnecessary name change?

Was it really necessary to move this page to "Gandalf (Finnish band)", considering there are no other bands called Gandalf... I thought page names were supposed to be as concise as possible. Also, if you intend to have the redirect deleted, you first need to change the linking on the four pages that mention the band. -Adunoeth (talk) 22:39, 10 December 2024 (UTC)

I thought the same thing. @Hands of a healer, just curious what the thought process behind the move was. Also, there are still articles linking to Gandalf (band) so it would not be a candidate for deletion until the articles are updated to point to the new name. There is an article for a different "Gandalf" band, currently disambiguated as "Gandalf (US band)". Considering they're both bands, and can be told apart by nationality, I figured that was the most logical way to do it.
