General operations
I was trying to find the people who create and operate this wiki, the owner so to speak to ask how to take a wiki someone created for me and operate it myself and no one I know seems to be able to help me. Where can I get instruction on how to use and create and operate a wiki. If you don't know but know someone who might please send me a line

- Hi Elrondaragorn. Hyarion operates the wiki, however, this software is MediaWiki, the same software as Wikipedia. Visit MediaWiki.org and the Installation guide. Hope this helps. --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 08:52, 20 August 2020 (UTC)

- Hi Irien! Great question, unfortunately due to the nature of wiki's, account deletion is not a supported feature. --Hyarion
House of Hurin coat of arms
The shield of the HoH has Tengwar script. Can you tell me what it means? The image can be found here; House of Húrin - Tolkien Gateway . Thank you!
Plagiarism on YouTube
I would like to point out at this time that there is a rising YouTuber with several thousand followers who is actively engaged in plagiarism directly lifting passages from articles contained within the Tolkien Gateway. I would advise the staff, owner, contributing authors, administrators, etc. To go have a look at the youtube channel titled Men of the West. In point of fact, have the Angmar War page open and go look at the video titled"The Angmar war, wars of the legendarium." This youtuber replaces every fourth or so word with a synonym to avoid suspicion. However, the reddit community of Tolkien Fans is catching wise. Please take the proper steps to ensure that your intellectual property, body of work, and legacy are protected by not allowing blatant theft. This user is not even listing sources or giving credit at any point either in the video, in the description, or giving a link to the website he's boosting this from. I hope someone looks into this and it is brought to light. Signed, Someone who gives a damn. "Bernacus 1/1/2019
