ambarmenië
From Tolkien Gateway
Ambarmenië is Quenya for "the way of the world", this is, the conditions in which the creatures lived within Ambar, the world. These conditions, being created by Ilúvatar himself, were fixed and could not be altered by the own creatures.[1]
Etymology[edit | edit source]
As Paul Strack explains, the term is clearly a combination of Ambar ("the World") + gerund of men- ("to go, proceed, move").[2]
