Aníron is a song composed and sung by Enya for the soundtrack of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring film. The Sindarin lyrics were written by longtime Enya collaborator Roma Ryan. The song, which translates to "I desire," is used as the theme of Aragorn and Arwen.[1]
It's featured in the tenth track, "The Council of Elrond", of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack and in the seventh track of the second disc, "The Council of Elrond Assembles", of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring - The Complete Recordings.
On November 23, 2009, Enya released her second greatist hits album The Very Best of Enya, which featured a newly produced and extended version of the song, titled on some editions of the album as "Aníron (I Desire)", or subtitled as the "Theme for Aragorn and Arwen," or both. The edition is longer with additional lyrics that were not used in the film or its released soundtracks.[2]
