Cape Andras was a long cape stretching south and west of the city of Brithombar and forming a small bay shielding the city.[1]
The Cape Andras marked the northwestern limit of the region of Eglamar.[2]
Etymology
The name Andras is in Sindarin, meaning "Long Cape". It is composed of the elements and ("long") + ras(t) ("cape").[3]
