I was reading the Silmarillion and I was wondering the followin, if Eru made the Valar and such powerful spirits like Melkor aka "Morgoth" does that mean Eru himself is flawed in some manner? as I understood it Eru created the mighty valar spirits or "Angelic beings" from his thoughts and I assumed that Eru is a God that is all powerful, omnipotent, omniscient, etc so basically perfection if there is such a thing we'd call it God or he would be Eru unless Tolkiens idea of Eru is that he was a lesser Deity then the God from the bible, I say this cause Tolkien being a devout Christian must have thought about this? —Unsigned comment by Tachyon (talk • contribs).
