The great boar of Everholt was a monstrous boar that inhabited Everholt, a section of the Firien Wood,[1] around the feet of the Halifirien in the White Mountains.
Folca, the thirteenth King of Rohan, who was also a renowned hunter, resolved to hunt down and slay the beast. He succeeded, but died in the process due to the tusk-wounds inflicted on him by the boar in T.A. 2864.[1]

- A tapestry recounting Folca's hunt of the Boar of Everholt hangs at Meduseld.
2013: The Lord of the Rings Online:
- A flashback sequence shows King Folca's hunt and his mutual kill with the Boar of Everholt. A tapestry depicting it is also found in Meduseld. A group of White Mountains orcs witnesses the event and, impressed by the creature that slayed their greatest foe, begin styling themselves after the boar, incorporating boar tusks and bones into their armor.
