Michael Mizrahi portrayed Thráin in flasback scenes in the Extended Edition of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.[1] He was, however, only named in the credits of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, where his appearance in the film itself is not evident, suggesting that his scenes were cut or not included in the final theatrical release.
