Soul's Ward is the title given by J.R.R. Tolkien to his translation of an Early Middle English text, Sawles Warde.
The existence of this translation has apparently never been discussed anywhere before, and it was only 'discovered' recently in the Bodleian Library in Oxford. A critical edition of this translation was published by The Review of English Studies on June 8, 2026. It is also freely available online.
