Nahar, the ascestor of the mearas
The article says "It was believed that he was the ancestor of the horses of the Noldor they brought to Beleriand, and the mearas.[7] Is there a canon evidence of this affirmation? Haran 16:44, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- Canon evidence for what? That it was actually the case? Nope. It's what (certain) people in Middle-earth believed. --Ederchil (Talk/Contribs/Edits)
- But is there a canon evidence that certain people of Middhe-Earth believe in that? In Return of the King, for example, what is said is that "(...) Béma (whom the Eldar call Oromë) must have brought their [mearas] sire from West over Sea"... Nothing is said about Nahar being their ancestor... Haran 17:36, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- I thought the reference was to a primary book, but nooo, it's Foster's somewhat unreliable Complete Guide. Removed it. --Ederchil (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 18:21, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
