Who Am I?
I've been a Tolkien geek since I was 14, and I'm over 60 now. I'm more interested in the legendarium than the matter of the Rings, but I love it all.
I'm also a textile geek. One way in which I was drawn to a deeper study of JRRT's work was through recognizing the undercurrent of textile activity in his works that is traceable to heroic literature. It is lightly mentioned, but it is there.
Why Am I Here?
This is my favorite canonically correct on-line Tolkien encyclopedia. If I'm going to contribute to the general knowledge level, this seems like the best place.
