Verbs.
In Quenya, verbs are conjugated in a similar manner to that of English or other languages, with multiple pronouns and tenses.
Verbs are conjugated by adding suffixes to the stem. Here is a chart of suffixes.
| Tense | Singular | Plural | "I" |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aorist | -ë | -r | -n |
| Present | -a | -a | |
| Perfect | -ië | -ië | |
| Past | -në | -në | |
| Future | -uva | -uva |
The aorist tense is somewhat irregular in that the suffix ë changes to i if any further suffixes are added. There is also the addition of the specific conjugation for "I," as in myself.
The present tense is formed by lengthening the stem's vowel by adding an acute accent (í, é, á, ó, ú) and adding suffix -n.
The perfect tense is formed by adding the prefix o- and suffix -ië.
The past tense is formed by "incorporating" the suffix -në into the word, sometimes placing the n within the stem.
The future tense is formed by adding the suffix -uva.
