Gil-galad wielding Aeglos in Peter Jackson's The Fellowship of the Ring

Aeglos was the name for the spear of Gil-galad.

The spear is also spelled Aiglos in The Lord of the Rings, but according to The Lord of the Rings: A Reader's Companion, Aeglos is in fact the more correct spelling.
