Findegil was the King's Writer of Gondor in the Fourth Age.
History
In Fo.A. 172, King Elessar ordered Findegil to write a copy of the Red Book of Westmarch.[1]
Etymology
Findegil seems to be composed of Sindarin find "hair" and tegil "pen".
