Roheryn was the horse of Aragorn, brought to him out of the north by the Rangers during the War of the Ring,[1] and said to have been a gift from the lady Arwen Evenstar.[2]

Etymology

Roheryn is a Númenórean Sindarin name, softened from the pure Sindarin Rocheryn, meaning "Steed of the Lady".[3] The first element in Ro(c)heryn is roch ("horse"), the second heryn ("lady").[2]
