Otr was a demon "in otter's form" who appears briefly in The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrún.[1]
History
Otr was the son of Hreidmar, a demon, and the brother of Fáfnir and Regin. He thought silver salmon were sweet to eat. One day, when he was fishing at the "black waters" of Andvari's falls, he was killed with a stone by Loki before being stripped and flayed. Loki and the other gods later brought Otr's body to Hreidmar’s halls to trade for housing.[1]
