History[edit | edit source]
Celondim is city located at the Sout of the Blue Mountains along the river Lune. Originally, it was a port to ferry wood to Mithlond to build ships, but now there is one of the bigger cities in the area. Duillond, to the north, is smaller and it is founded by people of Edhelion, because after Skorgrím destroyed their city they relocated to Gondamon, which they have left for Duillond to dwell nearer to the Lhûn and the Sea.[1]
Etymology[edit | edit source]
Celondim means "sad stream flowing down from heights", because celon means the "stream flowing down from heights"[2] and dim means "sad".[3]
