Dorgannas Iaur was a book of lore written by Torhir Ifant. The book contained an "account of the shapes of the lands of old", and Ælfwine quoted from it in his translation of the Quenta Silmarillion to clarify the placing of the realms of Beleriand.[1][2]
Etymology
Dorgannas Iaur is likely a Sindarin name, apparently meaning "shaping of the lands of old" and consisting of dor ("land") + cannas ("shaping") + iaur ("old").[2][3][4]
