In the later versions of The Silmarillion the character of Findobar was discarded from ‘the legendarium.
Etymology[edit]
Findobar was a Noldorin name appearing as a compound of Phinde ("skill"), Bar ("home; earth"), and Phin ("nimbleness, skill").[3]
