Puddifoot Family

The Puddifoots were a family of Hobbits. They were to be found in Stock of the Marish. Unlike most Hobbits, who dwelled in hobbit-holes, and like most folk of the Marish, the Puddifoots were house-dwellers.[1]

[edit] Etymology

The name comes from "puddle-foot" and is connected to the soft soil of the Marish.[2]
