Talion is a character created for the video-game Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor who served as the captain of the Rangers of Gondor. He was married to a woman, named Ioreth, and he had a son with her, named Dirhael, and both were killed by servants of Sauron. He sought vengeance on Sauron for killing his family and allied with the wraith of Celebrimbor who wished the same.
Etymology[edit]
Talion is a Latin name. It means in Latin "an eye for an eye".
Inspiration[edit]
The character of Talion is inspired by Boromir.[1][2]
