Merge with Manwe?

Does this need its own article? MOONBOLT (talk) 20:31, 4 December 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Maybe it should redirect to Manwë if all information on this page is merged over and if more people agree.Dour1234 (talk) 21:49, 4 December 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I agree. Thordhr (talk) 22:00, 4 December 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I agree that there is no need for this content to be on the King of Arda page and that the King of Arda page can be changed into a redirect page that redirects to the Manwë page. King of Arda is a title of Manwë. King of Arda is used as a title of Manwë in the chapters Of Aulë and Yavanna and Of the Silmarils and the Unrest of the Noldor in S and in §53c and §58b of the Annals of Aman and in Myths Transformed II in a statement by Arie to Melkor "though shalt not be King of Arda" in MR. It does not appear in LOTR, PM, NM or WJ. The title High King of Arda is used in the chapter Of the Flight of the Noldor in S and the title High-king of the Noldor is used in the Annals of Aman in the Fifth section of the Annals of Aman in Of the Speech of Feanor upon Tuna in §142 in MR. The title Elder King of Arda for Manwë is used in the Athrabeth Finrod Ah Andreth in MR. It would be helpful if users would state if and what kind of search with what results they have made instead of only asking a question or only stating an opinion, so that is is transparent on which facts the question or the answers are based on. --Akhôrahil (talk) 08:45, 5 December 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I'll be more thorough in the future. I figured in both instances I've recently spoken on (this and Curunir) it was self evident since the information in these articles could be contained in the Manwe and Saruman articles. MOONBOLT (talk) 09:03, 5 December 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Your thoroughness is admirable, but it wouldn't be necessary to do all this before merging the article. Short articles on alternate names can be merged regardless of how many sources they appear in. --Pachyderminator 15:18, 5 December 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
