Hmm. Is this a Quenya word, or a Sindarin one? I think it is the former, but I cannot be sure. --Narfil Palùrfalas 07:42, 26 September 2006 (EDT)
It's Quenyan. Means "High-White-Peak". In Sindarin it is called Amon Uilos.--Quidon88 15:25, 12 January 2007 (EST)
- Then from what is it derived? Or is it just "a word"? --Narfil Palùrfalas 15:38, 12 January 2007 (EST)
Isn't it a Valarin name distorted by the Noldor ? —Unsigned comment by 188.8.131.52 (talk).
- There is some similarity: DAhaNIGWIsTELgun would be distorted to DANIGWITEL and Taniquetil. Sage 11:17, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
