About me[edit | edit source]

An average nerd, I have read all of the more well-known Tolkien works, though nobody told me about them until The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring was getting made. I have thumbed through the The History of Middle-earth series, and am soon going to be adding them to my collection. I was a Star Wars fan first, but I like to think Tolkien's works are more scholarly, and spend much more time editing this encyclopedia then Wookieepedia, which is how I found this place.

My Name[edit | edit source]

Kind of pompous of me to discuss, I know, but I would like to get rid of any confusion. I started out with Quidon88, a conglomeration of my favorite Star Wars character Qui-Gon Jinn, a segment of my true name Don, and my birth year, 1988. That name i chose many years ago, and I always felt satisfied with it. Now though, I feel it is a bit juvenile, and have since taken on the moniker of Ambartur, the approximate translation of my true name into Quenya.

My Projects[edit | edit source]

As most of the grunt work has been completed by other more knowledgeable contributors, I tend to go things at random. But here is a list of things I've had a big impact on, I would say.

My Library[edit | edit source]

Since this is a Tolkien encyclopedia, I will refrain from adding my extensive Star Wars library. Sorry, I dont have ISBN's of these, I guess Im just not as committed as others[2]. And I will add to this also, a list of video games of which I've worn the discs out of.
